Dos

  • A person should eat food with high fiber such as vegetables, brown rice, fruit and whole grain bread.
  • Fish is must to include in diet and that too for minimum two times in a week.
  • Use canola or olive oil in place of butter, nuts in snacks and avocados for salad in place of mayonnaise.
  • Have canned fruits with low sugar and low sugar yogurt. Make sure the carbohydrates quantity should be low.
  • The breakfast cereal quantity for one serving should be 15 grams. The fiber content in cereal should be preferably 3 grams.
  • Eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Keep a regular record of quantity you consumed.

  • Consuming too much of fats is not good and should be avoided. It is present in cheese, whole milk, sour cream, ice cream, red meat, fried food and snacks.
  • Beverages that are sweetened and soda are the major culprits. You should avoid cakes, cookies, pastries and candy on routine basis.
  • Coffee and tea drinking is not safe. Green tea is the best you can have. It not only reduces weight but also tastes excellent.
  • Water intake is also an issue of concern. Try flavored water but they should have less calories. Add lemon in water or take carbonated water.
